Semester Task: A reflection note

This semester was very productive and useful for me as it helped me to improve my writing skills.  During this semester we have worked hard learning different aspects and types of writing which were important for development of essays, reports and reviews on various articles.  Also, I was very glad that we had an opportunity to work with such resource as “Guardian” which is filled with thousand of articles with up to date news giving a good food for thought. Reading these articles helped me to be aware of the current political, cultural and social situation. It was very helpful for improving my reading and comprehension skills as well.   However, the part which, unfortunately, became a disappointment for me was the platform that was chosen to work on. “Blogger” did not provide us with necessary service; sometimes my essays and reviews were erased without the possibility to restore them. Trapped in a lift

Together with Azia Mamatova we write this story ____________ It was a hot day of 12 of July. People did not know where to hide from the heat in the stuffy city.  It was ordinary Monday. The day when all the clerks are getting ready to start a new working week.  And they were no exception… The young girl was heading for the lift, late for her workplace in the office. She pressed nervously   the elevator button, but it did not come. She heard footsteps behind her and saw a man’s hand approaching the button. She shot an irritated look at the man behind her back. It was him. Her boss. ‘Hello, Mr…’ she said   perplexedly. ‘Good morning, Christine!’ he answered mockingly glancing at his wrist watch. There was the sound and the doors of elevator opened.
